CGG Robertson and Wood Mackenzie have joined forces to create Petroleum Edge Limited. This joint venture partnership combines the industry's leading geoscience and commercial valuation data to provide unique workflow solutions for our clients in the exploration business.
EV2 (EV squared) is the first product to be launched from the joint venture, and provides a view of future exploration volume and value at a block level, based on the CGG Robertson geoscience and Wood Mackenzie commercial valuation data. What is really unique about EV2 is that users are able to load in their own view of the geology and economics and re-run the numbers to return multiple exploration scenarios.
The team is comprised of both Wood Mackenzie and CGG Robertson employees seconded full time to Petroleum Edge, with support and expertise provided by Wood Mackenzie's Regional Analysts and CGG Robertson geologists across the full range of disciplines.
